After the disapointment of not getting a run at Grafton behind Rythym (F***N OUTBOARDS), Steve and the team headed to Lake Charm for what they hoped would be a more positive weekend.
The chance of getting on the TV certainly brought out some tough new competition to run against the regulars and Saturdays social race was a cracker in the tricky conditions.Although Steve is getting the hang of the social ski an error at the start saw the team last away from the start area after a fall shortly after getting up.Thx to the addition of boatcam the stuff up can now be relived over and over again.
To their credit the boys in the boat turned for a quick restart and once away they quickly caught and passed 5 of the other teams who had issues of thier own further down the course.
The 3rd place was a little disapointing as they were gaining on the lead teams but were flagged for a finish after only 3 laps instead of the full 4.
Sundays race was held in much better conditions and the guys felt confident of good result. Kris is getting better with each race and the guys had a great start along with Still Crazy and Baby Animal which pulled out to a good lead.
After running side by side with Still Crazy for the first half of the race the guys lost ground on a couple corners losing touch and letting Still Crazy get away to what turned out to be a 25 sec buffer. Baby Animal looked fast from the bank but luckily didnt break 60 for the win and 100 pnts.
