The change in format due to the World selection trials had the 'NoIssues' team running Expert on the Australia Day Friday which turned out to be a reasonable day with great conditions for racing. Unfortunately the race wasnt as good with the guys stuffing the start after confusion over whether the flag had dropped or not between waves. The smile of a holeshot start soon dissappeared off Steves face when the guys decided to use caution and abort the start rather than get a penalty for jumping the line. The restart had the guys chasing the field and after some skillful driving the gap was closed with the boys coming home for a well deserved 5th place and 80 points to retain the championship lead in 60mph Expert.
Saturdays Social race was held in very different conditions with the blustery winds turning Lake Charm into a washing machine of white caps. This time the guys got off to a great start along with 'The Opportunist' and 'Tantrum' all side by side until after turn 2 when Steve and Ashley behind 'Tantrum' fell at almost the same time leaving Kate Wright and 'The Opportunist' to take the lead. After a quick restart the 'No Issues' guys began to chase down the boats that had passed them. In a lap and a half they passed a few other boats and eventually caught 'TheWitch' on the last lap. The guys pushed each other to the limit culminating in a drag race for the finish line which 'The Witch' took out by 0.75 sec relegating 'No Issues' to 4th place.
