Well what can you say about the weekend that describes the conditions the 'No Issues' team faced at beautiful Lake Charm.
40 Degrees...Dazzling sunlight...Glassy water...Whitecaps...
The weekend had it all as well as some terrific racing.
Saturday saw the team bumped to the outside of the grid for the social race which ran as 60mph only, finally allowing all the 60mph teams the opportunity to race without the faster classes stealing the show. Its a shame they dont split the classes more often. In near perfect conditions the boys got off to a great start rounding the first corner side by side with 'Tantrum' towing Ashley Kemp then managed to pull away briefly before being challenged on the inside by 'The Opportunist' towing Kate Wright. The rest of the race was run in oldschool fashion with the 2 teams side by side until the final straight where the value of the inside line gave 'The Opportunist' a handy lead which they carried to the finish line for a win.'No Issues' was 6 seconds behind and followed by 'StrappOn' in 3rd.
Sundays race saw a reversal of conditions with a gusty Northerly turning Charm into a challenging venue with smooth water on the finish straight and whitecaps at the 2 bottom turns. Having sorted the grid issues the boys started on pole 5 and got a great start. Again it was a side by side drag race to the 1st turn but when the skier on the inside fell on lap2 'No Issues' secured pole. Despite Steve falling on lap 3 (At 32mph???) the guys were never challenged and finished the race 14 sec clear of 'BabyAnimal' for the win and 'No Issues' first state title.
